Being built at an estimated cost of $100 million, the Motera Stadium with a seating capacity of 100,000 spectators will be the world’s largest cricket stadium overtaking the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. The ‘Namaste Trump!’ event is expected to be attended by over 1 lakh people.

Ahmedabad Mayor Bijal Patel reviews preparation at Sardar Patel Motera Stadium in the city ahead of President Trump’s visit. Established in 1982 with a seating capacity of mere 49,000, this Motera Stadium is set to get a makeover. The Motera stadium is a host to more than 35 international games and a testament record-breaking wins, iconic matches, and lots more. The stadium was constructed by infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro. The stadium will accommodate over 1.1 Lakh people.
