BCCI Secretary Shri Jay Shah is appointed as the President of the Asian Cricket Council

Shri Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary, BCCI was on Saturday elected as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) following its AGM held virtually. he will take over the reins from Mr Nazmul Hassan, President, Bangladesh Cricket Board. Shri Jay Shah is the youngest administrator to be appointed as the ACC President.

World’s Largest Stadium IS ALL SET TO HOST SYED MUSHTAQ ALI FINAL ON 31ST JAN 2021

The Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the knockout stage and the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In a letter to the State bodies on Thursday which Sportstar has accessed, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has stated that the group stage of the tournament - which begins on January 10, next year - will be played across six venues - Mumbai, Kolkata, Vadodara, Chennai, Bengaluru and Indore.

WORLD’S LARGEST STADIUM IS LIKELY TO HOST SYED MUSHTAQ ALI KNOCKOUT MATCHES THAT ARE GOING TO BE HELD IN JANUARY 2021

The newly-built Sardar Patel Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad is likely to host the Syed Mushtaq Ali knockout fixtures after the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) expressed an interest to host them. With the stadium scheduled to host two Tests and five T20Is against England in February-March, the BCCI believes these matches would provide an ideal opportunity to test the nature of pitches.

THE WAIT IS OVER! WORLD’S LARGEST STADIUM IS READY FOR LIVE CRICKET ACTION

With so much buzz around the 1,10,000 capacity newly-built Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, the wait for the cricket fans here will soon be over. The day/night pink ball Test match will be held at the venue when England visit India in February-March next year. The pink ball Test, third of the series, will be played on February 24-28. Motera will also be the venue for the final Test from March 4-8.
